Volunteer Searches For Mickey Shunick Suspended Indefinitely, Police Release Details About Found Bike

Lafayette PD held a presser earlier today and confirmed that the bike belonging to Mickey Shunick that was found Saturday under the Whiskey Bay exit on I-10 had damage to the rear wheel/tire. Cpl. Paul Mouton stressed that even though damage to Mickey's bike may initially trigger assumptions of her being hit from behind, they "do not know that for a hundred percent that that's where that damage came from."

Lafayette Police are now looking for two new vehicles in addition to the white 4-door pickup shown in surveillance photos released yesterday. There is now an update photo of the initial vehicle of interest as well as photos of another white pickup truck and an 80s/90s model 4-door vehicle with body work on the rear right quarter panel. For the first time detectives believe they may have evidence that Mickey Shunick did indeed get on her bike and attempt to ride home early Saturday morning (May 19th, 2012). KATC posted photos on their Facebook page - two photos showing a bicyclist that detectives believe to be 22-year-old Mickey Shunick, the other a white 4-door pickup truck that detectives are asking for your help to identify.
