Two people are in a Hammond hospital after a shooting on the Campus of Southeastern Louisiana University early this morning. Authorities say the injuries are non-life threatening.

WDSU TV in New Orleans is reporting the shooting took place on North Campus. Students were alerted with a campus-wide text message shortly after 4 AM today. At this point, investigators say the shooting was the result of a fight between two groups.

School officials say there is no threat to students or faculty on campus at this time.
