What's the most Googled recipe in Louisiana? The answer might surprise you.

According to Google Trends, jambalaya is the most-searched recipe in Louisiana.

Now, I know you're probably thinking to yourself "This girl is crazy, that's not surprising at all! Jambalaya is at the top of the list when it comes to Louisiana cuisine", but that is exactly my point. Jambalaya is so popular that it's a little mind blowing to think that any self-respecting Cajun is Googling how to make it.

Everyone I know has a jambalaya recipe ingrained in their brain or written on an ancient recipe card that has been passed down from generation to generation. Jambalaya isn't something you randomly find a recipe for online.

Even if you weren't born and raised in Louisiana and you don't have a jambalaya recipe passed down to you from the dawn of time, you still know better than to look up a recipe online. I mean, how many times has the state of Louisiana wreaked havoc on the internet because of an out-of-staters disastrous attempt to make Cajun food?

There is no food like the food we make here in Louisiana and only we know how to make it. So, who in Louisiana is Googling how to make jambalaya? Maybe it's everyone north of I-10. That's really the only explanation I can come with.
