A man was arrested after jumping the White House fence—kicking and punching the Secret Service dogs that eventually tackled him.

The Secret Service confirmed that 23-year-old Dominic Adesanya breached security and got 20-25 yards past the fence when he was tackled by the security dogs on the White House grounds.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. ET (10/22) and the White House was placed on lockdown. The man was unarmed when he was arrested.

This is the latest in a string of security breaches at the White House.

This is the seventh individual to jump over the White House fence this year, and the first breach since accused jumper Oscar Gonzalez entered The White House and got as far in as the East Room. The breach prompted scrutiny into the Secret Service's security protocol. Agency director Julia Pierson, who received the brunt of the criticism, resigned earlier this month.

Should the penalties for breaching security at the White House be tougher? Should security be ramped up?
