White House Releases Obama’s Birth Certificate

We all know there have been WAY bigger issues in the world over the last 2 years (war, oil spill, healthcare etc.) but for some reason, the notion that Barack Obama was not born in the United States seemed to take precedence over all of these issues, most recently fueled by the high profile attention of Donald Trump.

Well today, in a surprising move, The White House released President Barack Obama's full birth certificate crushing all allegations from Trump and the so-called "birther" debate.

But why now?

Obama says it is because all the controversy had become a "sideshow."

“Over the last two and half years, I have watched with amusement. I have been puzzled with the degree with which this thing just kept going,” Obama told reporters Wednesday.

"We are not going to be able to solve are problems if we get distracted by side shows." he added.

So what about Donald Trump? Doesn't he look kind of silly now, being that he was the one most recently pushing this issue, both heavily and publicly? Of course not. He is playing the hero card saying

"I have accomplished something nobody else has accomplished."

"I want to look at it, but I hope it’s true," he added. "He should have done it a long time ago. I am really honored to have played such a big role in hopefully getting rid of this issue."

You can read even more on the issue here, but now that The White House has dropped this bombshell, dismissing all "birther" conspiracy theories, what now? In a nation where we thrive off of the idea that "nothing is what it seems" can we be satisfied without controversy? Only time will tell.
