WWE Superstar Chris Jericho was nearly arrested during a match in Brazil...And this was not part of the show. WWE was recently on tour in Brazil and prior to Jericho's match with WWE Champion C.M. Punk, Jericho took the Brazilian flag and threw it out of the ring and onto the arena floor. Problem is, in Brazil desecrating the country flag is a crime. According to TMZ, local police stopped the main event and gave Jericho the option to either apologize to the live crowd or be arrested. Jericho took the route of apologizing before the live crowd and said that he was sorry for his actions. WWE officials say that this was not part of the show and that Jericho acted on his own accord when a fan gave the Brazilian flag to C.M. Punk.

Since then, Chris Jericho has been suspended by WWE and was quickly removed not only from the tour, but from the country itself. WWE released the following statement, "Chris Jericho has been suspended indefinitely  due to an irresponsible act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a WWE event in Sao Paulo on May 24. The WWE has apologized to the citizens and the government of Brazil for this incident."

WWE will be live this week in New Orleans and in Baton Rouge for TV tapings and Jericho is advertised for both show.
