BJ's Pizza is raising money for the family of a former employee who was killed on the job while delivering a pizza.

William 'Bill' Kline worked as a pizza delivery driver for Papa John's, and at 3:38 p.m. on Friday afternoon when Lafayette Parish Deputies responded to a call for a shooting in progress on Marigny Circle, they discovered his lifeless body.

While the case remains under investigation, Kline's cause of death is believed to be related to severe trauma he sustained to his upper body and two men—22-year-old Ferris Martin and 30-year-old Kevin Morrison—have been arrested on charges of first degree murder in connection to his killing.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help family with unexpected funeral expenses

William "Billy" Kline was a loving father, son, brother, friend and soon to be grandfather. He was loved by many. He delivered pizza for Papa John's Pizza in Lafayette, La. On December 23 he was on a delivery when he was tragically shot and killed just two days shy of Christmas. We're trying to raise funds to cover any funeral expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated. All funds go to his daughter Ariel Kline Coussan who is in charge of his arrangements.

Help spread the word!

His daughter also makes mention that any extra funds raised beyond his funeral costs will go to settle debts, move Kline's trailer and store his things while they sort out his affairs in the wake of this sudden tragedy.

BJ's Pizza is also helping to raise money by donating $5.00 for every large pizza sold this Wednesday (Dec 28.) to Kline's family.

Grab a pizza or donate directly to the GoFundMe link if you want to help out the family as they deal with this difficult loss during the holidays.
