Blind 15 Year Old Plays Dubstep On Piano After One Listen
They say when you lose one sense, your other senses compensate. In the case of 15 year old piano prodigy Kuha’o who has been blind since infancy, his ivory-tickling powers are unparalleled.
This video chronicles Kuha’o's first listen to “Cracks” by Freestylers and his attempt to re-create the popular dubstep single on the piano. We’ve almost met our limit when it comes to dubstep and we thought it would be an exercise in futility to emulate its incredibly layered and complicated note structure on such an antiquated instrument, but Kuha’o has restored our faith in music.
