Chick-fil-A to Honor Kevin With 25 Year Anniversary Celebration
Kevin Melancon (50), an employee of Chick-fil-A and a local treasure, will be honored for his 25 years of service to the restaurant and Acadiana.
Kevin Melancon has been synonymous with Chick-fil-A Acadiana for 25 years. He is the face of Chick-fil-A in these parts. His genuine spirit, work ethic, big heart and huge smile are a breath of fresh air. And he delivers those attributes to the customers of Chick-fil-A each and every day, winning the hearts of Acadiana for the past 25 years.
My wife, Susan, was 18 and I was 20 when Kevin was born. When doctors told us he had Down Syndrome, we had no idea what they were talking about. We had so many mixed emotions about our lives as a family moving forward. Little did we know God had blessed us with an angel who lives his life as God intended us all to live. Little did we know how special our family and community would be in raising Kevin with so much love and support. -Kevin's Father Lonny Melancon
On February 7, 2023, Chick-fil-A on Kaliste Saloom will celebrate Kevin's 25th anniversary and everyone is invited. The anniversary celebration will take place at Chick-fil-A Acadiana located at 101 Meadow Farm Rd. from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
John and Anette Arton, owner-operators of Chick-fil-A, decided to give Kevin an opportunity to work. To us, work is a job. To Kevin, it's a life where he can share stories with his customers and co-workers. Give him a choice between family vacations and work, he would always choose work. -Kevin's Father Lonny Melancon
Kevin is charming, sweet, kind, courteous and helpful. You simply can't think of Chick-fil-A in Lafayette without thinking of Kevin.
The owners, employees and customers have been so helpful and compassionate to the needs of our special son. -Kevin's Father Lonny Melanco
Kevin Melancon has made a lasting impression on the Acadiana community. He and his family are considered extended family to all who frequent Chick-fil-A Acadiana.
Acaciana continues to be proud and happy for Kevin and the Melacon family. And as it's been said for 25 years now, thank you to Chick-fil-A Acadiana for recognizing the value of this young man as a hard worker and genuine spirit of light and happiness.
