Video Captures Louisiana Man Setting Fire to Christmas Tree in French Quarter
Louisiana is barely two weeks into the year, and we are already looking for a 'reset button.'

But we aren't the only ones feeling the heat; California has been battling devastating wildfires for days. If the the wildfires weren't enough, there have also been reports of people committing arson in an effort to add to the already existing chaos.
New Orleans has also had a rough start to the year, with the terror attack sending the local communities into a state of panic just hours into the new year. Just a few days later a woman was arrested for driving into the St. Augustine marching band multiple times.

Unfortunately, the wreckless behavior continues this week with a video capturing the moment someone sets a Christmas tree on fire in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Commenters worry that 'firebugs' are getting inspired by the influx in crime following the wildfires in California.
Evacuation zones are riddled with looters, so while people are relieved to return to their homes fully intact on the outside, the inside of their homes are destroyed by looters burglarizing their homes in most cases.
While we don't have to deal with the threat of wildfires daily, Louisiana folks are far too familiar with the damage that looters cause during and after major hurricanes.

"Just wild! Someone lit a Christmas tree on fire in the French Quarter this weekend. Luckily, there was no major damage, but how scary. This was on Rampart between Toulouse and St. Peter. Video from Flambeaux Bike Tours."
Commenters were also disturbed by the people who walked and drove by because they took no visible action to stop the fire.
If you watch until the end, you will see that someone was actually in the gray vehicle the entire time and most likely witnessed the fire intentionally set by the person in the video.
There are no further details at this time regarding any arrests made or the motive behind the Christmas tree fire.
