An Acadiana Halloween tradition, the Pumpkin Patch at Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette, has made the decision to cancel this year's events.

In a Facebook post, Covenant United Methodist Church says the decision was made as a matter of safety for guests and volunteers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers say that "After much discussion and prayer, we are sad to announce that the Pumpkin Patch will not open in October 2020."

The Pumpkin Patch at Covenant United Methodist Church is such a great event that is enjoyed by thousands every October.

Although the Pumpkin Patch may be lost for the Fall, the Covenant United Methodist Church and our team here at Townsquare Media Lafayette are working together to send goods to those in Southwest Louisiana that were affected by Hurricane Laura.
