Get The 411 On All Festivities Surrounding The 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
The 11th annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl matchup will feature the San Diego State Aztecs of the Mountain West Conference and Louisiana-Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference on December 17, 2011. This is the first time our UL Ragin Cajuns have been in a Bowl in over 40 years, and Acadiana will be well represented on NOLA Bowl weekend with many Ragin Cajuns fans planning to make the trip to the Big Easy! The game is in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, kickoff is at 8p (CST) and it will be televised on ESPN for everyone who plans on watching the game at home. But for those planning to make the trip to NOLA, we're gonna give you the 411 on all the festivities and events surrounding the big game!

New Orleans has plenty of hotels. Take your pick!A lot of people love visiting New Orleans. So there is literally a hotel on every corner. Finding one that will take your money shouldn't be a problem, but here is a list of hotels that are pretty close by. Any hotels off Poydras, Canal, in the French Quarter or the Warehouse district are all within walking distance of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Or if you're lazy like me, cabs are always running. If you want to save a little bit of money and don't mind finding a free parking spot or paying to park, hotels in the Metairie/Kenner area aren't a bad idea either.

We are the flagship station for UL Ragin Cajun football and Walk-On's will be the place for you to scoop up your "GEAUX CAJUNS" signs for the big game. All proceeds will go to the Ragin Cajuns and a $10.00 donation is suggested. The UL Ladies Softball team will be helping along with “King Rob” painting vehicles with "Geaux Cajuns" for the NOLA Bowl the following Saturday. They will be located at Cajun Field by the Oak Tree near the Baseball Field/Track. Support the Cajuns, and put it on your car so everyone on the roads of Acadiana and I-10 can see that you are RAGIN CAJUN PROUD!
