FRISCO, Texas - If you have kids and your family has loved going to Universal Studios in Florida or California, then you will likely enjoy the brand new resort set to open this summer in north Texas. And we finally have a grand opening date.

Universal Kids Resort, a first-of-a-kind theme park and resort in Frisco, Texas, is set to open on July 1, 2026.
The resort is specifically designed and developed for families with young children. The 20-acre theme park features a 300-room on-site hotel. The resort features seven immersive lands, gentle rides, interactive play areas, and sensory gardens.

There will be seven theme lands based on popular Universal intellectual properties (IPs):
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom: Features a Jellyfish Fields Jamboree boat ride, Mrs. Puff's Boating School, and a "Bobbing Barrels" water ride.
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Includes the "Bello Bay Cruise" and the Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby.
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp: Boasts a Cretaceous Coaster, Pteranodrop ride, and interactive lookout towers.
- DreamWorks TrollsFest: A glitter-filled, music-heavy area with critter crawls and meet-and-greets with Poppy and Branch.
- Additional Lands: Features lands themed to Shrek's Swamp, Puss in Boots Del Mar, and the Isle of Curiosity.
