Lafayette Police Department Announces Annual Trunk or Treat Event at Girard Park
The Lafayette Police Department is excited to invite the community to its annual "Trunk or Treat" event, set to take place on October 30, 2023, at Girard Park. With the address being 500 Girard Park Drive, the park will transform into a festive Halloween headquarters from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A family-friendly initiative, "Trunk or Treat" is open to children of all ages. Attendees can look forward to seeing police units creatively decorated in the spirit of Halloween, providing a unique backdrop for this festive occasion. Adding to the excitement, dedicated officers will be on hand, distributing candy to the little trick-or-treaters, ensuring a delightful and memorable experience for all.
Parents and guardians can have peace of mind knowing that this event offers a secure environment for their children to enjoy the Halloween tradition. As emphasized by the Lafayette Police Department, Girard Park will be "the safest place to trick or treat" this year.
The department encourages families from all over Lafayette and the surrounding Acadiana area to come out in their best costumes, engage with their local police officers, and partake in the Halloween celebration.
Mark your calendars and prepare for an evening of fun, candy, and community spirit! We hope to see you there.
