Several local bikers and Jeepers will be headed to Baton Rouge on Saturday, July 25, to meet up with scores more for the Louisiana Blue Rally, in a show of support for our law enforcement officers.

We will have a Blessing said by Pastor Terry Lobell from Riding in the Wind Ministries at 5:25 p.m. There will be no way for everyone to hear. Please attempt silence at this time and if you choose, say a silent prayer for the safety of the ride and all riders. We will depart at 5:30 p.m. No exceptions. - Louisiana Blue Rally, Facebook

The "ride" portion of the rally will involve motorcycles and Jeeps meeting at Cortana Mall at 4:30 pm, with the ride heading to the Louisiana State Capital at 5:30 pm.

One estimate puts the number of anticipated participants between 1,000 and 1,500, though it is not known how large the turnout might be, as the weather forecast is calling for a good chance of thunderstorms.

Once the ride arrives at the Louisiana State Capital, there will be a rally already underway in support of Louisiana's law enforcement officers. Participants are encouraged to wear blue in support of LEOs, and to bring American flags and Back the Blue flags.

We will depart from Cortana Mall, on Centerway onto Westbound Florida Blvd.  Hero One will Lead, followed by the 9-1-1 Frisard Truck. There will be a few motorcycles and vehicles of families that have been identified as having fallen or injured officers that will follow the 9-1-1 truck.
We will continue westbound on Florida Blvd... upon reaching 4th Street,  everyone will need to turn right if you are going to the rally. If you DO NOT wish to join the rally, continue westbound on Florida to River Rd... Find parking where you can - DO NOT BLOCK ROADWAYS FOR TRAVEL. - Louisiana Blue Rally, Facebook

If you would like to show your support to the law enforcement officers in Louisiana, the rally is free and open to the public.
