This viral story out of St. Martinville will hit you right in the feels.

Jason Boudreaux shared a story on his Facebook account describing the moment a St. Martinville grocery store cashier told him he had insufficient funds. Boudreaux had just deposited his payroll check about an hour before grocery shopping and figured the money would have been in his account not realizing that the funds weren't there yet.

Regardless, he was stuck in line with a nice-sized haul of groceries and had no money to pay for it. All of a sudden, Boudreaux says he heard a voice speak up from behind saying "I got you."

As he turned around, Boudreaux realized that a guy he had briefly greeted while waiting in line was the one who offered to pay for his groceries. While he appreciated the gesture, Boudreaux didn't think the man realized the total amount of his grocery bill; but the man reassured him that he was aware of the price and, once again, said "I got you."

Not only did Boudreaux share his story, but after the internet quickly identified the man as Kevin Jones from New Iberia he asked his Facebook friends to recognize the young man for the way he stepped up "for a complete stranger."

He also realized it was the gentleman's birthday and extended an invite to him to visit his family day which would double as the young man's birthday celebration.

Another post showing the men celebrating was also shared widely on Facebook as Jason Boudreaux and Kevin Jones' friendship was a feel-good story that people on social media enjoyed both near and far.

Stories like these that highlight paying it forward and doing random acts of kindness are really important because they can make the world a happier and more positive place. When we do something kind for someone else, it can start a chain reaction of kindness that spreads throughout society.

Plus, doing nice things for others can also make us feel good about ourselves and boost our own mental health. It's like a win-win situation.

And let's not forget about how acts of kindness can bring people closer together. When we do something thoughtful for someone else, it shows that we care about them and can help to build trust and stronger relationships.

In the end, by being kind and generous, we can inspire others to do the same. Who knows, maybe our small act of kindness could end up making a huge impact in the world.

Hats off to Kevin and Jason, and let's all try to spread a little love and kindness wherever we go.
