If you want someone to take note of your social media page, just post something nostalgic.

Titles like "Vintage Photos of Northgate Mall" and "10 Discontinued Items That Need to Come Back" do well on websites and social media pages, because they stir up feelings of nostalgia.

Popeyes' social media managers, I am sure, are well aware of this, so when I saw today's Tweet from the company, I thought to myself, "Brilliant!".

The Tweet posed this question: "What retired food item should we raise back from the dead?"

The responses were varied, with some mentioning old items and others mentioning items that were more recent, but fleeting.

I can't describe the change in the taste of the biscuit, but I certainly do notice it. Back in the day, I could make a meal on the biscuits alone and, today, I rarely reach for one when I dine there. What appears to be one of the most popular answers was Cajun Rice.

Twitter user Sean Winn even posted the ad slick from what he wishes Popeyes would raise from the dead: the $3.99 Daily MealDeals.

Holden replied with "Deez", but I don't recall that item on the menu. Maybe that item was a special "off-menu" item? I haven't a clue.

When did I miss Popeyes having Jambalaya? I remember the Cajun Rice, but the Jambalaya has me stumped. One of the more recently discontinued items is one of the specialty sauces that Popeyes offered. In an agreement with Megan Thee Stallion, Popeyes, for a hot minute, offered "Hottie Sauce".

  • Onion Rings
  • Snack Wrap
  • Hushpuppy Shrimp (what the what? I missed that one, too)
  • Chicken Waffle Tenders
  • Loaded Chicken Wraps
  • Spicy Fish Sandwich (which is seasonal, but they want it full time)
  • Garlic Butter Shrimp
  • Mardi Gras Cheesecake (that sounds interesting)
  • Apple Crisp
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Green Beans

Is there an item that Popeyes has discontinued that you'd love for them to raise from the dead?
