Saints Agree To Terms With TE Jared Cook
The Saints have added a big target for Drew Brees.
Last week, it was said that the Saints were in talks to sign tight end Jared Cook. Well, now it's official!
Cook is a ten year NFL veteran, having played for the Tennessee Titans (2009-12), St. Louis Rams (2013-15), Green Bay Packers (2016) and the Oakland Raiders (2017-18).
The 6'5" 254lbs tight end was initially a third round pick in the 2009 draft to the Tennessee Titans. In his career thus far, Cook has 425 receptions for 5,464 yards (12.9 avg.) with 25 touchdowns.
Last season with the Oakland Raiders was his most productive with 68 receptions for 896 yards (13.2 avg.) with six touchdowns. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl. Among NFL tight ends in 2018, Cook finished fifth in receptions and fourth in receiving yards. while tying for fourth in scoring grabs. He had four 100-yard games in 2018, tying for third-most among tight ends last season.
The details of his contract have not been disclosed at this time.
