The New Orleans Saints saw 28 year old LB from the Carolina Panthers Luke Kuechly retire from the NFL on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Saints will be losing their fullback in seven year veteran Zach Line.

Line, 29, went undrafted out of SMU but played four seasons for the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Saints in 2017 and has played with them for the previous three seasons.

Zach Line was never a big rusher, he was always a blocking fullback with his biggest rushing total coming in 2018 when he had 41 yards on the season. He did score six total touchdowns rushing and receiving combined over his career.

He posted on his Instagram account Wednesday to announce his retirement:

In his lengthy post he gave special mention to the Saints and Who Dat Nation saying, "to the team that made football fun again @saints . Another HUGE thank you to the WHODAT Nation, there is nothing like it, my family loves you."

Line was set to become a free-agent this off-season. We wish him nothing but the best with his future after football.
