According to the Louisiana Lottery's Big Wins in Louisiana page the largest prize claimed by a Louisiana-sold-ticket for last night's game was $1,000. There were four other tickets sold in the state that can lay claim to a prize of $500.
The Mega Millions website shows that the $106 million dollar jackpot ticket was sold in Minnesota. Exactly where in Minnesota will likely be revealed later today. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot will return to a starting balance of $20 million for Friday night's drawing.
Those still interested in making that financial windfall dream come true while you sleep will have another chance at that in tonight's Powerball game. Lottery administrators say the estimated jackpot for that drawing is $302 million. The Powerball game hasn't made a jackpot winner since Valentine's Day earlier this year. Tonight's drawing takes place at 9:59 pm Louisiana time. By rule, ticket sales must cease at least one hour before that drawing occurs.
