A massive size eyeball has washed up on Pompano Beach, north of Fort Lauderdale. The eyeball washed up ashore this Wednesday, and has left many scientists scratching their heads.

The blue eyeball, about the size of a softball, is being analyzed at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg. Agency spokeswoman Carli Segelson says the eyeball likely came from a marine animal, since it was found on a beach. Possible candidates include a giant squid, a whale or some type of large fish.

By looking at the size of this eyeball it is SAFE to say that it came from a massive marine animal. I don't think we need a specialist to tell us that. However, my question is, is the marine animal still alive out there & swimming with just one eye or was it dead when the eyes washed up on the beach? I will follow this story because I am curious where such a huge eyeball like the one in the photo came from.
