If you have ever been inside a Spirit Halloween store, you know that they have everything you could possibly need to decorate, put together a costume, or even build your own haunted house.

Imagine if they would have a Christmas store that went all out like Spirit does every year for Halloween. Well, you don't need to imagine it because it exists. Now, for the for time ever, this Halloween headquarters will be transformed into the Christmas wonderland of your dreams.

Introducing Spirit Christmas…But Not for Us

As we take a deep, sad sigh, we regret to inform you that Spirit Christmas will not be coming to Louisiana. That won't stop us from getting into the holiday spirit, but it certainly hurts to be snubbed, considering how seriously Louisianians take Christmas.

Louisiana residents start decorating for Christmas as soon as the blessing is finished being said at Thanksgiving dinner. While you don't necessarily have to be Christian to celebrate Christmas, it is a Christian holiday so it would make more sense to have Sprit Christmas stores here in Louisiana more than anywhere else.

Christianity is the dominant religion in Louisiana, with approximately 84% of the population identifying as Christian. Louisiana’s Catholic community is especially prominent in South Louisiana, and they, too, celebrate the Christmas season.

Where Are They Opening Spirit Christmas Stores?

The new Spirit Christmas stores will only open in select areas across the Northeast, including states like New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Meanwhile, down here in Louisiana, we’re left wondering why we won’t experience the festive transformation.

Since we are still butthurt that Spirit Halloween ghosted us, we don't mind pointing out that they should have named it 'Christmas Spirit'—another missed opportunity, on top of leaving out the entire 'Bible Belt.'
