Suspect Arrested In Armed Robberies At Lafayette Stores
Lafayette Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for nine robberies in Lafayette.
Officers were working a robbery operation in the 600 block of East Kaliste Saloom on Friday night when they say they saw 25-year-old Keiwayttan Turner pacing near a convenience store in that area.
Police then say Turner covered his face and pulled out a handgun as he went to the entrance of the convenience store.
Police arrested Turner before he went into the store. Detectives then executed a search warrant at Turner's home.
Police believe Turner committed that following crimes from November through December:

- Armed Robbery 2927 Verot School Road November 28, 2013
- Armed Robbery 409 East University Avenue November 30, 2013
- Armed Robbery 1339 SE Evangeline Thwy December 2, 2013
- Armed Robbery 2602 Kaliste Saloom Road December 5, 2013
- Armed Robbery 3400 West Pinhook Road December 6, 2013
- Armed Robbery 301 Verot School Road December 7, 2013
- Armed Robbery 5714 Johnston Street December 7, 2013
- Attempted Armed Robbery 624 Kaliste Saloom Road December 13, 2013
Turner was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, and police say their investigation is still ongoing.
