Taco Bell Sign Collapses, Crushes Vehicle in Crowley, Louisiana

At least one person has been transported to a hospital for treatment after a Taco Bell sign in Crowley collapsed, crushing a vehicle beneath it.

Photos from our media partners at KATC and EVEN News (captured by Chris and Katrina Roland) show the harrowing scene.

Crowley Police confirmed that the sign did fall on the vehicle, trapping a person inside. The person reportedly avoided major injuries according to eyewitnesses but officials have no word on the status of the individual who was taken to a local hospital.

A photo provided by EVEN News shows just how serious this collapse was, just inches away from where the driver was sitting.

While we aren't 100% positive this incident was directly related to weather conditions in the area, numerous photos and videos showed damages due to the inclement conditions throughout southwestern Louisiana on Friday afternoon (9/8).
