Tim Tebow Is The Reason Peyton Manning Chose The Denver Broncos

Earlier today, the deal was finalized. 5 years and $96 million dollars later, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have reached an agreement that will put the future Hall of Fame quarterback in the team's offensive driver's seat. Sources tell ESPN that Manning will make $18 million in the upcoming 2012 season and

He will be paid $20 million in both the 2013 and '14 seasons if he passes a team physical to be given 10 days before the start of the 2013 league year. There is an injury waiver included in the contract, however, covering Manning's surgically repaired neck. If he re-injures the neck during the 2013 season, the Broncos will not have to pay his 2014 salary.

He is scheduled to make $19 million in both '15 and '16, but must pass a physical before each league year.

But what about Tebow??? Tim Tebow was one of the biggest NFL stories of the 2011 season, sparking 'Tebowmania' that spread like wildfire and made it's mark on everything from church retreats to SNL. Well, the simple truth is that while Tebow is a great story, Peyton Manning is actually a great quarterback; and after the Broncos introduce Manning as their new quarterback today at 2 p.m. CT, the next move will be to trade Tim Tebow to another team.
