The University of Louisiana will be holding fall graduation ceremonies outdoors next week.

Rather than holding the festivities in the Cajundome, graduates will take part in individual college commencement ceremonies, which will take place at different outdoor venues over two days to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

This will "ensure the health and safety of attendees," the university announced on Tuesday.

There are a total of eight academic colleges at UL. Six of them will have individual ceremonies on Tuesday, December 8. The following day ceremonies for the remaining two academic colleges and the Graduate School will be held. They will take place at Cajun Field along with Lamson and Russo parks.

The schedule of ceremonies will be as follows:

Tuesday, December 8

Cajun Field

Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park

M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park

Wednesday, December 9

Cajun Field

M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park

Fall 2020 commencement ceremonies can also be viewed via live stream. Simply click on the name of the college above to view that particular college's ceremony.

Parking for family and friends who have tickets for individual ceremonies will be available outside each venue.
