Police Search for Woman Who Allegedly Fired Weapon Inside Baton Rouge Beauty Store
According to reports, authorities in Baton Rouge are searching for a woman who allegedly fired a gun inside of a beauty supply store after being confronted by employees for shoplifting.
WBRZ Channel 2 reports that the incident began when the alleged armed robber was confronted by an employee of the beauty store. Apparently, the employee confronted the suspect about shoplifting to which the woman responded by pulling out a gun and firing into the air per the report.
The woman allegedly went on to demand more merchandise after discharging the weapon. After robbing the business, the woman reportedly fled the store in a dark vehicle as seen on surveillance footage according to the report.
It all happened a beauty store on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, but this isn't the first instance of a business in Louisiana's capital having to deal with shoplifting. Earlier in the year, the owner of a boutique off of Perkins had to physically fight off a shoplifter who was attempting to take merchandise.
As far as the armed robbery suspect goes, authorities in Baton Rouge are asking anyone with information on the woman to please contact them.

Many in the comments pointed out that the suspect getting a gun involved into the crime means the potential for much more serious repercussions. But until the alleged armed-robber is found by authorities in Baton Rouge, this certainly could put some fear into business owners around the city.
