Barricades Are Being Put Out In Lafayette In Preparation Of Mardi Gras Parades

With the first Mardi Gras parade just days away in Lafayette, the Lafayette Consolidated Government Public Works Department will begin putting out the barricades along the parade route today.

The crew will start putting out the barricades this morning at the beginning of the parade route in downtown Lafayette and then makes it way through the downtown area. They will ultimately end up on Johnston St. and make their way towards the Cajundome.

We want to remind you that traffic may get congested while they put barricades along the route, and please SLOW DOWN as you approach the crew.

The barricades will remain along the parade for the next few weeks, and then later pushed back towards the center lanes on Monday February 11th.
