The Advocate is reporting that Louisiana rapper Torrence "Lil Boosie" Hatch has been released from prison as of 7pm Wednesday night.

Hatch was released from Angola Penitentiary, the state prison, where he was serving time on drug charges. The Advocate reports that jail warden Burl Cain says, "He’s going to be on parole until he does his full-time sentence."

Being that the rapper has to remain on parole for the entire sentence, Boosie will be on parole until 2018.

In 2012, the rapper went on trial for murder but was found not guilty. He was accused of hiring someone to kill a local rapper.

Boosie is now a free man.

We may hear more from the rapper next Monday as he is scheduled to attend a news conference in New Orleans, which is being organized by Atlantic Records.
