Carolina Panthers head coach, Ron RIvera, and his family escaped a huge house fire early Monday morning, according to ESPN

ESPN reports that the coach and his family heard the smoke detectors go off in the home and they were all able to escape without injury. A total of 56 firefighters responded to the blaze, and it took firefighters nearly an hour to contain the flames.

There is no word on what may have caused the early morning blaze, but as in most cases like this, there will be an investigation into the blaze.

This incident comes just days after the Panthers advanced in the NFL Playoffs, and will now face the Seattle Seahawks later this week.
