Chris Brown just dropped the title track from his long-awaited upcoming album, 'X,' and he is making some pretty serious promises.

The track starts off with a slow beat as Brown sings about hangin' "with the wrong crowd," his vocals shining through the toned-down background music. But the beats soon get louder as the song leads into the chorus and Brown gets hyped up.

"I know, I know just who you are / You put me on layaway … I think that it's over," Brown sings on the refrain, kicking it into high gear as he spits: "I swear to God I'm movin' on."

Of course, fans minds automatically think to Brown's on-and-off ex Karrueche Tran, who last called it quits with the controversial singer earlier this month. But it's clear that Brown isn't "movin' on" from her, considering the two are now once again back together and posting lovey-dovey pictures together on Instagram. Maybe he's referring to Rihanna? Or talking about leaving his bad boy days behind? Either way, we're all about the "moving forward" sentiment and the slick vibe of the song.

Listen to Chris Brown's 'X' above, and be sure to pick up a copy of the album when it drops on Sept. 16.
