Sure, we all live busy lives these days, but can we not take a few minutes out of our busy schedule to pay our final respects to someone by getting out of our vehicle and walking into a funeral home? Sadly, the answer to that question must be "NO" because a funeral home in Michigan is now offering a drive-thru visitation feature.

The funeral home says that the industry is rapidly changing, and one thing we will begin to see more and more of is accessible  forms of visitations. Does that mean more drive-thrus at funeral homes? It sure sounds like it.

The President of Paradise Funeral Chapel says that they have invested $300,000 in this drive-thru to accommodate those that can't get down at the funeral home to pay their final respects. As the vehicle approaches the window, where the casket is, curtains roll back and the deceased is in plain view.

As to be expected, the funeral home is taking a lot of negative feedback on this "accommodation," and they say it's because most don't know how it really works.

I'm sorry, but when I think of a drive-thru I think of getting a meal or cashing a check---not paying my final respects to someone. What do you think of this? Good idea or Terrible idea?
