A lot of people love visiting New Orleans. So there is literally a hotel on every corner. Finding one that will take your money shouldn't be a problem, but here is a list of hotels that are pretty close by. Any hotels off Poydras, Canal, in the French Quarter or the Warehouse district are all within walking distance of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Or if you're lazy like me, cabs are always running. If you want to save a little bit of money and don't mind finding a free parking spot or paying to park, hotels in the Metairie/Kenner area aren't a bad idea either.
Everyone loves to pre-game, so we are taking the tailgating that we normally do outside of Cajun Field, and we are bringing it to the awesome atmosphere of the brand new New Orleans location of Walk-On's! It's on Poydras just a stone's throw away from the Dome and if you haven't been yet, then you are in for a treat. It's only been open for a couple of months but has already been voted one of the best bars in New Orleans for pre-gaming and watching the Saints play. Walk-On's is Hot 107.9's official headquarters for the New Orleans Bowl, and we will be broadcasting live starting at 2pm on Saturday, eating, drinking, pre-gaming and partying all weekend long from there with our sister station ESPN 1420-AM. We are the flagship station for UL Ragin Cajun football and Walk-On's will be the place for you to scoop up your "GEAUX CAJUNS" signs for the big game. Join us at Walk-On's all weekend long as we pre-game, party, 'Paint The Quarter Red' and root the Cajuns on to VICTORY!
Service Chevrolet will be painting vehicles on Sunday, December 11 from Noon – 4:00pm. All proceeds will go to the Ragin Cajuns and a $10.00 donation is suggested. The UL Ladies Softball team will be helping along with “King Rob” painting vehicles with "Geaux Cajuns" for the NOLA Bowl the following Saturday. They will be located at Cajun Field by the Oak Tree near the Baseball Field/Track. Support the Cajuns, and put it on your car so everyone on the roads of Acadiana and I-10 can see that you are RAGIN CAJUN PROUD!
