Hometown Cemetery Stories
Tonight on the show, Chris Reed’s “Hot Topic Of The Night” talks about your hometown cemetery. We all have stories from where we grew up of the local cemetery. For me, around the Mamou and Eunice area, there was a cemetery informally labeled “Headless.”Legend has it that a man would often ride a white horse through the cemetery late at night, and he appeared to NOT have a head attached his torso. Whether this was someone revisiting the area from the days of the Civil War, or just a spirit looking to spook late night visitors, many have claimed to see this “ghost” or “spirit.”
Tonight, we discuss what story you may have about your local cemetery. Whether your story is true or not, we want to know what you know about your local cemetery. Acadiana has man stories and folklore, and tonight we highlight local cemeteries.
As always, feel free to share stories On-Air at 234-1079 or comment below. The “Hot Topic Of The Night” airs weeknights at 8pm on Hot 107-9!!!!
