LSU is the No. 1 ranked football team in the NCAA and it seems that they are the only team that can beat themselves, literally. The Tigers have reportedly suspended Heisman candidate Tyrann Mathieu and superstar running back Spencer Ware for this weekend's match versus Auburn, and possibly longer over reported failed drug tests.

Les Miles will address the news at his scheduled press conference at 6:15 tonight, but according to LSU's on-campus paper, the suspensions involve a failed drug test and LSU defensive back Therold Simon may be involved as well. The suspensions may also extend further than this Saturday's home game against Auburn.

LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette declined to confirm any punishment for the three players, saying only that they're involved in an internal matter that coach Les Miles "will handle accordingly."

It's clear that both Ware and Mathieu are the respective leaders on each side of the ball for LSU, so will this hurt the Tigers? LSU is unbeaten on the year so far, even after uncertainty following the highly publicized arrest and suspension of QB Jordan Jefferson at the beginning of the year.

Will this suspension affect the Tigers and can they remain unbeaten without Tyrann Mathieu and Spencer Ware?
