Mariah Carey “Hated” Her Experience While On American Idol

In a recent radio interview, Mariah Carey said she "hated" going to work while on the judges panel of American Idol. At one point in the interview, Mariah said it was like going to work with "Satan." And I think we know who she is talking about here.

In the interview with DJ Angie Martinez of Hot 97, Mariah said, "Here's what it was. I was the first person who signed on...I thought it was going to be a three-person panel. They gave me a nice...monetary moment, and I was just like, Okay."

If you watched any of Idol while Mariah was on the show, it was quiet clear that she did not enjoy working along side fellow singer Nicki Minaj. She and Nicki had several on-set arguments, and on some episodes of the show, Nicki even walked off-set.

Mariah never really mentioned names in the interview, but if you are a fan of American Idol, I think we know who she was referencing as "Satan." Although her experience may not have been the best on Idol, Mariah did say in the interview that she thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with the contestants on the show.
