Nearly 34 MILLION vehicles are being recalled due to the fact that they may be equipped with faulty Takata air bags.

The air bags may inflate with too much force, thus blowing apart a metal canister equipped with the airbag. If such happens, sharp metal projectiles could pose a danger to the driver and/or passengers in some of the vehicles being recalled.

Here are the vehicles models being recalled:  Honda, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota dating to the 2001 model year are also affected.

If you drive any of these type model cars, you may receive a letter from the automaker notifying you of the recall. Be sure to keep an eye out for any type notification that may come your way.

Now, if you wish to enter your vehicle identification number on Takata's website you can see if you vehicle is part of the largest vehicle recall in U.S. history
