MTV Crowns Miley Cyrus As ‘Artist Of The Year’

Remember when Miley Cyrus was twerking all over Robin Thicke and the internet world was in an uproar, and that I said "she's winning?" Well, Miley just won, and she won the title of "Artist of The Year" from MTV.

MTV says that the video of Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke, from the Video Music Awards, had more hits on it than any other video on their websites for the year 2013. What does this prove, as much as some "didn't care" they really did care.

Sure, she may not be the most talented of all artists out there, but talent doesn't sell these days. Its what you do when the cameras are on you and how you market yourself thereafter.

For what its worth, MTV named the boy band One Direction as their Artist of The Year in 2012.
