A community has rallied around a mother and her family after a hateful anonymous letter about her autistic son was slipped under his grandmother's door.  Karla Begley is "in shock" after reading the offensive letter about her 13-year-old son Max who was diagnosed with severe autism at the age of 2.

A photo of the letter that refers to the boy as a "wild animal" and a "nuisance" has gone viral after actors and musicians Lennon and Maisy tweeted it out with the caption: "A close family friend has an autistic boy and this was an anonymous letter slipped under her door. This is real."

Karla Begley said that her son Max stays with his grandmother in the morning during the summer who doesn't understand why "somebody would do such a thing."

In what might be the worst part of the terrible letter is a part that suggests that the family should move or "euthanize" the child. Police have reportedly been contacted and if they have grounds, charges will be filed against the author of the hate letter if and when they are found.

In the meantime, the community has continued their efforts to figure out who sent the letter and to show support for Max, Karla, and their entire family.
