Rumors have been rampant for months that Rihanna and Chris Brown are reuniting in the romantic realm, which only grew louder when they collaborated on remixes for RiRi’s ‘Birthday Cake’ and Brown’s ‘Turn Up the Music.’ Now, whispers are abuzz that the pair will reunite onstage Down Under.

The duo are both slated to appear at SupaFest in Brisbane, Australia on April 14. “It’s a definite possibility,” a source revealed. “But it won’t be decided until the last minute.” Brown is headlining the festival, which also features Diddy, Lupe Fiasco, Ludacris, Trey Songz and T-Pain. Rihanna will be in Australia for her April 10 Sydney premiere of ‘Battleship,’ so proximity is playing a role in the decision.

The report suggests that Rihanna and Brown’s teams want any potential onstage duets to take place outside of the U.S. This may be an effect of Jay-Z’s influence, as RiRi’s mentor has been disapproving of the former couple’s collabos from the start.

Rihanna spoke out recently on working with Breezy. “I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really – it made sense to do the record, just as a musician. Despite everything else, that was going to be the person,” she said. “I thought about rappers, and I’ve done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like, ‘Why don’t you do the remix to my track?’ and it was a trade off. We did two records. One for my fans. One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn’t be a divide. It’s music, and it’s innocent.”

Time will tell if this duet comes to fruition. If it does, we can only hope it ends up on YouTube!
