Shaquille O’Neal Provides Backup To Gainesville Police Dept. [VIDEO]

Last week, the Gainesville Police Department responded to a call about kids making noise in a subdivision while playing basketball in the street. The responding officer decided to take part in a pick-up game with the kids and the video of the "game" went viral.

Now, the same police department and officer went back into the the same neighborhood for a re-match with the kids. However, this time they brought some serious back-up with them. If you recall, the responding officer told the kids he'd be back one day with his own team---And he's back!!

Former NBA great, Shaquille O'Neal, went with the Gainesville Police Dept. and took part in a pick-up game with the kids. Yes, Shaq was actually balling in the streets with theses kids.

The best part of his surprise visit came not when Shaq was posting up on these kids, but when he delivered a very powerful message to them. Shaq reminded the kids to stay in school and to obey one another.

I wish we would see more videos like this. Seeing athletes getting involved in a community never really gets old. Job well-done by the Gainesville Police Dept and Shaquille O'Neal.
