Verruckt—The World’s Tallest Water Slide Runs First Test With Riders [VIDEO]

Allow me to introduce you to Verruckt, the world's tallest water slide, located in the Kansas City Schlitterbahn water park.

The Verrückt is 168 feet and 7 inches tall, taller than the Statue of Liberty and Niagra Falls. Standing right at 17-stories tall, you have to climb 264 steps to reach the top of this mammoth water slide.

The first run with riders has been delayed one several occasions, but all indications now say that the slide will soon be open for those who dare.

Early test runs on the slide had complications because sand bags, in the place of human riders, were tossed out of the raft as it plunged towards the ground. I assume adjustments have been made, but not even that netting would be enough for me to get on this slide.

According to Schlitterbahn, the slide will open sometime in 2014.  Simply Amazing!!!
