When it comes to the Morganza Spillway conversation, a lot of folks are intrigued. Some are confused. Others are worried. With so many different people having mixed emotions, depending on their situation, the one emotion that everyone has in common is curiosity. How does it work? Will it work? What does it look like? When the Bonnet Carre Spillway was opened last week, people in the New Orleans area literally lined up. Who knew something like re-routing water could be a spectator sport? Well, down here in Louisiana, when you've got so much riding on the hopes that these things successfully "work" - you tend to be a little concerned.

For everyone wanting to see the opening of the Morganza Spillway today, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have provided a live USTREAM feed. Let's all say a prayer in hopes that everything goes according to plan and runs smoothly. So many of our neighbors livelihood is at stake.

The feed will go active when the spillway is opened. So far reports have said this will be sometime between 2p-3p central time. Just keep this page open and the real time feed will go live below.
