Council Approves New Liquor Ordinance, Trouble For Go-Cups
The Lafayette City-Parish Council has voted on a new liquor ordinance and it looks like the go-cup could be in trouble---again.
The council voted 7-1 on Tuesday to do away with go-cups at bars/clubs after midnight. Soon, bars will not be able to handout go-cups at the door once patrons leave their establishment.
The council has often addressed the go-cup in Lafayette and they seem to still have it in their sight. Do go-cups really cause trouble? And will this help discourage drinking and driving in the parish?
