mickey shunick missing in lafayette

A Lafayette woman has gone missing, and now her family and friends are asking for your help in finding her. Mickey Shunick, 21, of Lafayette went missing Saturday night as she was believed to be returning home on a bicycle. Shunick left a friend's house in the Saint Streets area around 2am on Saturday morning, but never returned home near the Ambassador and Congress St. area.

Mickey Shunick has curly blonde hair, stands 5′ 1″, and weighs 115 lbs.

Mickey's family is asking anyone with information, ANY information, to call the Lafayette Police Department immediately. Even if you have information that you may think is unimportant, it might just be the lead police need to help find her.

About 100 friends and family members organized a search Sunday, but they were unable to find any clues in this case. Those taking part in the search are now asking for your assistance. If you live in the area between Johnston and Congress and between University and Ambassador Caffery, the family asks that you walk your neighborhood to see if you find the bicycle or any trace of Mickey.

If you have any bit of information in this case please contact the Lafayette Police Department tip line at (337) 291-8633
