‘Griffining’ Is The New ‘Tebowing’ [PHOTOS]
I'm still stinging from the New Orleans Saints' loss this past weekend to RGIII and the Washington Redskins. Not only did we lose in the almighty Mercedes-Benz Superdome, (after an undefeated 2011 season at home) but Robert Griffin III's rookie debut performance vs. the Black & Gold has officially sparked the latest (and dumbest) internet craze:
What is this 'Griffining' you ask? Just think 'planking' - or better yet, for a better comparison, think about how aggravating 'Tebowing' was. This soon-to-be-just-as-aggravating-as-tebowing movement stemmed from the lucky fluke of a play 88-yard touchdown pass from RGIII to Redskins wide reciever Pierre Garcon, where the rookie viewed the spectacular play - and subsequently celebrated - from the turf. Now, Redskins fans and RGIII fans alike are taking part in the 'Griffining' movement. It's all over Facebook, where I was even tagged in a 'Griffining' photo by a friend who happens to be a Redskins fan. It's all over Twitter and Instagram under the hashtag #Griffining.
Look, I'm man enough to admit that RGIII put a spanking on my Saints, but he better bring it from here on out, or else his 8 point victory versus the Saints in Week 1 of the 2012 NFL regular season will go down as one big lucky fluke, and this 'Griffining' thing will be done quick and in a hurry.
In the meantime, enjoy pictures of actual morons 'Griffining' and the play that started it all.
