ESPN 1420 is reporting that the Saints have cut kicker Garrett Hartley after his atrocious performance this past weekend in the team's loss against St. Louis.

Hartley has been very unreliable for much of the 2013 regular season, but still, Coach Sean Payton stood behind his kicker. Payton even brought in other kickers to try out, but Hartley still remained the starter.

Plenty of ups and downs have told the tale of Hartley's stay in New Orleans since the Saints brought him in midway through the 2008 season.

missing significant time on injured reserve, serving a 4-game drug suspension in 2009, and playing sporadic throughout his career

Even though recent memory may not paint Hartley as the best kicker for the Black & Gold, fans will never forget his game-winning kick in overtime against the Vikings in the 2009 NFC Championship that put the Saints in their first Super Bowl in 2010.

Here are a few pictures to help you relive that glorious moment in Saints history.
