Drew Brees is definitely going to like this.

After reports from NFL insiders Ian Rapaport and Tom Pelissero it looks like the New Orleans Saints were able to get one of the top free agents of the offseason in Pro Bowl tight end Jared Cook.

Not only are the Saints and Drew Brees gaining an offensive weapon, but now defensive units will have to think twice about double-teaming Saints WR Michael Thomas or that other elusive guy by the name of Alvin Kamara.

Let's be honest, the Saints haven't had a real "weapon" at the tight end position since that guy named Jimmy Graham. The best we had was Benjamin Watson (both times), and although he was solid both on and off the field, Cook has the potential to bring excitement back to the tight end position in New Orleans.

A few skeptics say Cook's play has been inconsistent over the years, most notably during his time in Green Bay, but as you probably know this league is all about what have you done for me lately—and lately, Cook has been a beast coming off a career season with the Raiders.

We're still awaiting the details, but for now, get ready to see a new weapon in Brees' arsenal as the Saints head into the 2019 regular season.
