For my first stop on my Eat Lafayette tour, I visited Guidry’s Reef Seafood and Steak House. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Guidry himself, who explained to me that they believe in the old school tradition of making the seafood dishes fresh daily. You won't find any frozen seafood at Guidry's Reef. I had never been there before and couldn't wait to try everything they had to offer.

Still being run by second and third generations, Guidry's Reef has been a local favorite since 1978. Serving the best seafood and steak in Lafayette prepared in a traditional flavor unique to Cajun country.
