American Idol fans will have to wait until tonight to find out the final 24 semi finalists. Only 5 were announced last night, Naima Adedapo, Clint Jun Gamboa, Ashthon Jones, Paul McDonald and Haley Reinhart. Chris Medina, who was considered a favorite this year, was sent home. Jennifer Lopez was the one to give him the bad news, and broke down after he walked away.

It is being reported that once viewer voting begins on the show, i.e., next Tuesday, there will be more than just one way for you to vote for your favorite American Idol contestant.

Now before you start thinking he already got sent home from Idol, don't fret. Jacee says he flies home every week or so. We have been seeing ALL of your Facebook Status updates, receiving TONS of calls and even people sending us pictures of Jacee...

Last night, on Idol, I think saying that Jacee Badeaux "got the shaft" would be an understatement. Now of course Acadiana is rooting for our hometown boy, and we know Idol has their clever ways of editing to dramatize situations, but what happened last night was a mixture of emotions.

Ok, so this season of American Idol has kicked-off, and producers promised "big changes" for the season. While I know that we may see changes as the season progresses, I don't know if I can stomach it much longer.

In the last 24 hours Acadiana has been buzzing with excitement over Lafayette native Jacee Badeaux, a Lafayette High student who auditioned for American Idol in New Orleans and made it through to Hollywood. Since then it has been rumored that Jacee has made it as high as top 20!! We're gonna continue to follow his success and keep you posted.

If you caught tonight's episode of American Idol you probably saw 15 yr old Lafayette native, Jacee Badeaux. Jacee was on the New Orleans audition show and wowed the panel of judges.

Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest joined by new castmates/judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez kicked off an "all new" season of American Idol last night with auditions in Rutherford, NJ. Hard to believe that it's already been 10 years since American Idol stormed the airwaves and produced performers such as Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Chris Daughtry, and Adam Lambert (as well as Soul Patrol).
